How often are statements produced?
Monthly - when there is revenue to report. If there is no revenue no statement is prepared.
Are payments and statements sent out at the same time?
No - payments are made first approximately around the 20th of each month
Statements are mailed Second Class same or following day so please allow a couple of days for delivery
Will payment always accompany a statement however small?
No. You may not be due a payment in accordance with the Collection Agreement, or, payment may be under our minimum payment threshold of £50.00
The statement indicates that a payment is due but no money has been received– why is this?
There could be a number of reasons such as we do not have bank details or we do not have up-to-date bank details.
We may have bank details that are out of date and we will not know this if we have not been informed. This can causes us all a problem as the money can get stuck in the banking system for many days and we will not become aware of this until the bank returns the funds. Also, there may be bank charges associated with this transaction that could have been avoided.
Please remember to inform the NFTC of any changes to your bank details.
A payment has been received but no statement – why is this?
This is probably due to the NFTC not being informed of up-to-date contact details. We will not be aware until mail is returned to us. It is much harder to track addresses particularly when statements have not been issued for some time.
VAT – We are due VAT on the payment the NFTC has sent. Who do we invoice?
You need to send an invoice to the Producer. The NFTC can help you find the production company if necessary.
